ICM holds “BANDuary” 2012

Island City Mall highlights top local bands in “BANDuary” (Bands in January), a weekend band feature every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, this month of January, 4 PM, at the Activity Center of Island City Mall.

Oldies favorite band Versatile and popular reggae band Brownbuds performed last January 7 and 8, respectively; while another equally-talented band from Loboc, ‘D Cruisers, was the featured band yesterday, January 14.

This afternoon, Bohol’s premiere party band, CenterStage, will take the spotlight playing the best of today’s hottest hits in the Billboard Chart, from Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away,” Rihanna’s “We Found Love,” David Guetta’s “Without You” to Shakira’s “Rabiosa,” Bruno Mars’ “It Will Rain,” Charice’s “Louder,” etc. The band is best known for its repertoire of pop/RnB music, 80s retro and classic love songs.

Another well-known reggae band, Estranghero, will bring the reggae vibes and good times on Saturday, January 21, with their original compositions, “Tao at Kalikasan,” “Rastaman,” “Reggae Mellow Music,” “Smoke Some Wanna,” and “Estranghero” which had been dominating the local airwaves. The band broke into the modern Reggae Southside style scene in the summer of 2005 with their self-titled debut album, “Estranghero.”

The following day, January 22, features YorDaddy, Bohol’s premiere Bisaya rock band who is behind the hit songs, “Nihit” and “Unsaon Na Lang.” Ever proud of their Boholano heritage, YorDaddy continues promote rock music using the local dialect.
