Chatto leads turn-over of fire building in Pilar

After the acquisition of firetruck early last year, the local government unit (LGU) of Pilar, Bohol proceeded with the completion of the building to house the town’s Central Fire Station.

Mayor Wilson Pajo turned over the new P.5-million building to Provincial Fire Marshal Pepe Rebusa, SFO2 Alexes Asas–municipal fire marshal last January 10.

The new edifice is situated just a few meters from the municipal hall compound.

Pajo made sure that the Central Fire Station will be housed properly for firefighters to respond promptly to fire alarms in his town and even in neighboring municipalities.

Governor Edgar Chatto graced the ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremonies.

Rebusa–a multi-awarded BFP official–conveyed in his acceptance speech that it is part of the priority programs and projects of the Bureau of Fire Protection to equip the firefighters with the tangible installation of Central Station for fire disaster risk reduction Provincewide.

Chatto and BFP officials urged LGUs to set counterpart in the acquisition scheme.  He lauded the Pilaranons, led by project-oriented officials and humble yet energetic mayor for the resounding response to his call. (Vincent Ente/BPF PIO)
