Local LPG prices fall by P9.50 per kilo
Prices of liquefied petroleum gas dropped by P9.50 per kilogram or P104.50 per 11-kg. cylinder effective midnight Saturday, according to the LPG Marketers’ Association.
This is a follow-up to last Wednesday’s P1 per kilogram rollback that independent LPG dealers implemented effective 12:01 a.m. Wednesday.
LPG Marketers Association (LPGMA) party-list Rep. Arnel Ty said the rollback said the suggested retail price of 11-kg tank of LPG had already been down to P764 starting Wednesday from P775 per tank.
With the further rollback Saturday midnight, the SRP is now down to P659.50.
Ty also hinted further price rollbacks in the coming months, as demand for the commodity is not seen to increase.
Earlier this month, Ty said consumers can expect a hefty rollback for LPG, when LPGMA members first rolled back prices by P1 per kilo last March 19. —GMA News
